GoCar is the largest car sharing program in Ireland. While the vast majority of their GoBases are in Dublin, they are expanding and have GoBases in Galway, Limerick, Killarney, Cork, Waterford, Wexford and more. A GoBase is simply a spot where there is one or more GoCars available to rent. My local GoBase is 3 reserved council parking spaces with a GoCity, GoTripper and GoVan based there. A rental must start and end at the same GoBase – you cannot do a one way rental.
GoCar has been expanding rapidly and I’ve been using it more now I sold my car. I will be doing quite a lot of posts on the GoCar experience. If you have used GoCar before I would love to hear your thoughts. If you haven’t used them before, you can sign up using code m0194o for a €10 discount on your first trip.
